Comments

Scattered stone blocks found in the forest in 1990 were the only surface evidence of this Roman villa.
Preparing for the measurement was extremely time-consuming
as the measuring area first had to be cleared of dense
undergrowth. In ignorance of the exact location of the villa and
in order to save time and long clearing distances, the
undergrowth was (unfortunately) placed directly around the
selected measuring area, which made subsequent
measurements more difficult. Although the measurement very
successfully showed the first structures of a larger building, no
further measurements have been carried out so far (as of
2023) due to the expected very high amount of preperation
work.
The actual measuring process was also made infinitely more
difficult by the measuring cable that had to be carried along,
as it constantly got caught on small branches and bushes that
were still lying around. A measuring frame with a square array
configuration would certainly have shortened the measuring
time (although at the expense of increased noise).

The redrawing of the measurement image, which was initially aligned with the structure, shows the presumed southern end of the building and structures of the interior division.
