Comments

This measurement was carried out with the aim of examining the quality of the geoelectric representation of low-resistance structures. For this purpose, two measuring areas with different resolutions were examined in the area of a presumably Neolithic settlement that can be seen in the aerial photographs.

The survey area A with a resolution of 1Mp/m2 covers a section of an alluvial fan, on the eastern edge of which several pits can be seen. The size of the pits visible in the aerial photograph corresponds well to their size in the measured image.

Survey area  B with a resolution of 4MP/m2 covers 6 pits that are located not far from a longhouse that belongs to the same settlement.
The extent of the pits visible in the aerial photograph appears somewhat more clearly defined than in the survey image.

The two pits in the western part of the survey are only clearly visible in the aerial picture. Here, the locally lower conductivity of the surrounding soil (compared to the visible pits) and the resulting lower conductivity contrast between the natural soil and the pit filling may not be sufficient to show a clear finding.

Even a second measurement with a lower resolution of 1MP/m2 cannot show the missing pit findings.
