Comments
Survey area 1
Measuring area 1 is located in a vineyard on a slope. These two special features require more complex correction than usual.
(Image A)
In the vineyard, mechanical tillage usually creates compaction lines in every second row of vines.
(Image B)
These are removed or adjusted using "delining" (geophysics software "Snuffler").
(Image C)
Any recognizable anomalies are then redrawn.
As the vineyard does not have a rectangular shape, the measurement image must be brought into line with the actual shape on the aerial photograph. This is done using the "Perspective" transform tool. To do this, the measurement image is placed over the aerial photograph template and adjusted to the actual shape of the vineyard in the aerial photograph. (Image D) (Image editing software GIMP)
Image E shows the final result of the survey in Google Earth in an oblique view with height amplification factor 1.
Survey area 2
Area 2 is also initially "delined" and "despiked" due to the compaction lines.
However, this does not result in any significant improvements in terms of recognizable structures.
A foundation line approximately 3 m wide and a 50 cm wide anomaly running parallel to it are already recognizable without image editing. Only the approximately 1.5 m wide and 4 m long anomaly next to it is easier visible.
