With a front length of 50 to 60 meters, the mansion of this villa rustica belongs to the larger villas in Rheinhessen.
Diverse agricultural use through vine-, grain- and fruit-growing makes prospecting difficult in this area.
Fortunately, the main building could be prospected shortly before a
new vineyard was built. The north-western area of the building is the
most disrupted, so that the actual length of the front remains unclear.
The attempt to improve the recognizability of the presumed bath-area in the south-western part of the manor house with a higher resolution of 4 MP/m2 failed, because the soil had at the time already been profoundly broken up in preparation for the vineyard, which led to a very noisy image. Possibly the remains of some walls still visible in the 1MP/m2 image were completely destroyed on this occasion.
The surveys in the vineyard to the south-west of the mansion proved to be extremely time-consuming, as it was laid out in two different orientations, none of which following the orientation of the roman complex. Apart from a small room, which is attached to the only recognizable section of the south-eastern surrounding wall, no outbuilding has so far been reliably identified. These are presumably located in the field still to be prospected to the northeast of the area investigated so far. A prospecting of this area is planned.
