Comments
A first overview measurement with a resolution of 1 MP / m2 presumably shows the manor house of a villa rustica with a central room measuring about 12 mx 12 m with preserved flooring, as well as a north wing and a structure in front of the main house, usually a water basin. A possible south wing does not seem to exist or no longer exists.

The subsequent detailed measurement (4 MP / m2) - carried out exclusively over the recognized structures - significantly improves the visibility of the monument. Individual rooms, a rough subdivision of the north wing and the areas surrounding the central room are now more clearly visible.

An exact alignment of the grid in the orientation of the building structures leads to a better recognizability of the detectable structures in the image - not only for laypersons - and should definitely be taken into account during the measurement if the building orientation is known.

Since the alignment of the grid in the building orientation had not been taken into account in the measurements presented here, the measurement was subsequently aligned in the direction of the building structure by means of image postprocessing. For this purpose, the measurement image is first created with a resolution of 1 MP / pixel (here: 120px by 60px) and inserted in the center of a blank image of the size 200px by 200px. The resulting image is then rotated so that the recognizable wall structures in the image run vertical and horizontal. The image is then enlarged by a factor of 10 (2000px by 2000px) and then rotated back by the same angle of rotation. Now the aligned image can be cut out again, whereby a narrow border is lost. Further subsequent processing such as sharpening, contrast enhancement, brightening or color changes are possible, but hardly lead to any gain in knowledge.
